The Pre-school is run by parents from the pre-school and professionals from Constantine Primary School. All members have been through the relevant DBS checks.

Chairperson: Helen Bancroft – Headteacher Constantine Primary School
The chair has to organise themselves and everyone else to get things done. Checks all paper work and is up to date and liaises with the community, parents and staff. They need to be child centred and flexible and able to see the big picture so that they can lead the Pre-school’s aims and objectives, set targets and keep a clear focus on what the outcomes should be. They have to understand the cash flow forecasts and get jobs done efficiently.

Book Keeper: Maggie Mackenzie
This job involves banking fees and petty cash on a regular basis, it also involves working with our accountant and contributing to and understanding the Pre-School cash flow and accounts.

Fundraising Treasurer: Selina Ekins
The vice treasurers role is to support the bookeeper and take on any job’s to ease their work load.

Secretary: Alice Kirby and Sarah Haynes
This job involves making and circulating the agenda before each meeting and writing and circulating the minutes after each meeting.

The major role of the committee members is to help plan and carry out fundraising events. Due to the fact that the preschool is a charity we need to raise as much money as possible every year in order to keep the preschool open. Children’s fee’s only over the cost of the staff’s wages, everything else is paid for by fundraising.
