SENCO (Special Education Needs Coordinator):

Rosie Regini is the SENCO, but many other members of staff have attended the SENCO training and we all work closely together with regard to any child in our setting with special education needs.  As part of our pre-school policies we have regard for the DfES Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (2001).  We also ensure our provision is inclusive to all children with special educational needs. We work together to support parents and children with special educational needs (SEN). We identify the specific needs of children with special educational needs and meet those needs through a range of SEN strategies.  The pre-school believes that we should work in partnership with parents and other agencies in meeting individual children’s needs at all times and we monitor and review our policy, practice and provision and, if necessary, make adjustments.
