March 2017

We had great fun on world book day. Both staff and children enjoyed dressing up and sharing our favourite books.  On Shrove Tuesday we enjoyed making pancakes for our snack and having pancake races with our friends.

Bunny Hunt

Saturday 15th April 10am-1pm. Preschool will be providing refreshments, bottle bola, teddy tombola and table top sale. So come along with your children to enjoy some Easter fun.

Help needed

We need volunteers to help run the preschool stalls on Saturday 15th April. There is a sign-up sheet in the cloakroom. Please put your name down if you are able to spare an hour of your time to help raise money for preschool. The more volunteers we have the more money we are able to raise for preschool.

Teddies and Bottles

We asking for donations of bottles for our bottle bola. We need full bottles and empty bottles with lids. We also need donations of teddies that are clean and in good condition. We will be holding a teddy week in preschool beginning 27th March where children can bring in a teddy they want to give away and one they want to keep. We will be holding a teddy bears picnic with all our teddies. For the table top sale we are asking for donations of clothes, shoes, accessories, and toys all in good condition. Thank you

We would like to thank everyone who kindly donated clothes and shoes for our Bag2School fundraising event.  It was a great success and we managed to raise a total of £80.00 for preschool.

Our topic for this term is ‘Where we live’.  We have been learning about the different types of houses that people live in and have been enjoying playing in our ‘home’ role play area using the fantastic new role play panels.  If possible could we ask the children to bring in a photograph of their house or bedroom to share with their friends in preschool.

Preschool Bags

We still have some preschool bags with the children’s self-portraits on for sale. The bags can be purchased for £5; they would make a great gift for mother’s day.

Pre-existing Injury Form

Due to a change in our policy we are introducing a Pre-existing Injury Form.  If your child should have an accident of injure themselves at home before attending a session we would ask that you inform a member of staff on arrival and fill out a form accordingly. We thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Can we please ask that if you are providing grapes in your child’s lunchbox that they are cut in half to reduce the risk of choking.  We would also ask that you do not send your child in with nuts or food that contains nuts in their lunchbox as we have children with allergies.  Could all lunchboxes and water bottles be named. We would like to remind parents to provide your child with a healthy lunchbox. If you would ideas for a healthy lunch box please speak to a member of staff or have a look at this link:
